Mapping the School

I am putting together an updated map of the school for my agency staff to replace an old one made in Publisher. What do you use to put one together?

Have a look at Visio. It's really good for this sort of thing.

Also, before you start, check with your County. In Warwickshire, at least, they keep all building plans on file. I usually receive a vector PDF.

We have done site maps with Adobe Illustrator. Another option might be to do a bit of contributing to Open Street Map.

We had an old map that was drawn by hand so i just vectorized that and added labels

Visio is really easy-to-use and helpful.

I did ours in The Gimp I do most of our graphics work using The Gimp, so I'm very familiar with it.
