Anyone know if there's anything special required for "Send File" to work? Progress bar just sits there doing nothing and it won't send a file to any user regardless of permissions on the folder, whether we send to their home drive, the "ImperoDownloads" folder (created or not) or any other part of their system!

Hi

It is usually firewall the file is sent from client to the client. Can you remote control the client etc that would be my first question. Also what version you on? if want will get a support bod to call you..

Negative, nothing between them.

Let me clarify.

The stock windows firewall with default settings will block this. Try turning it off as a test and it should work.

"Nothing inbetween them" means *nothing*. Windows Internal Firewall is disabled for internal hosts.

Hi syn. The connection goes from student inbound to your console. It uses exact same connection method as remote control.

Try turning your laptop firewall on then off again as I've sometimes seen it holding firewall settings persistently even when disabled.

Only other option is the file you are sending is not accessible try copying file to local c:? Or, imperoutilities has been renamed/deleted on your laptop.

Support can remote in to sort it for you last resort.

Just logged a call this morning, the culprit is the VirtualBox network adapter. Disabled it on my PC and et voila, it works. Waiting to see if the good folks at Impero have a work around for that, no huge loss if not - virtualbox provides our programming environment which overrides a convenient send files option :D

(Also for note, especially for people considering what option to go for, the time between me logging a call on their support system and receiving the first reply was a matter of 10 minutes. A response turnaround most companies should be jealous of.)

Hi

Glad got it sorted.. Also if not been suggested by support already try renaming the non-virtual box adapter to have the name Impero in it.
