synaesthesia Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Has anyone had any issues with OWA and performance? We are having some odd issues that seem to affect some users more than others (mandatory profiles, regardless of browser or location). Some emails can take absolutely ages to open or send, and we get the lovely spinning icon for ages. It doesn't appear to affect us (us being technical staff) so suspect there may be some SSL/firewall relating issue, although I've added exceptions in the firewall for mail.office365.com and outlook.office365.com (covering all the IPs therein). I've read plenty of threads about performance elsewhere with lots of random information, some saying mail.o365.com will be quicker than outlook.o365.com (different set of IPs, quicker tracert), some saying that it often routes through akamai proxies that aren't listed in the addresses MS recommend are unblocked/unfiltered etc. I've raised a call with our ISP to check over my firewall settings but really unsure what else to try!
X-13 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 We've been having problems with the website since Friday [allegedly]. We have a link to O365 on the homepage, but it won't load. All there is regarding an error is "the page took too long to respond". Loading from HTTP rather than HTTPS fixes it. But it can still take a few attempts.
