ASDAN - CoPE making CD ROM available to students

How do other schools make the Data on the Copy write ASDAN CoPE CD-ROM available to students please?

Bumpyt, bumpyt bump! Any tips on best practice at all on this please? ASDAN folk tell me I'm ok sharing the content to our staff and students so all I need now is to set it up so it's tickety boo.

How do you run it at your school then? We have a CD-ROM that has an exe on it that seems to lead to a heap of PDFs and some interactive content. We are running Impero so our 'lovely little chaps' can't run .exe files in their own right. I'm not at all sure how to set it up so that our Y10 / Y11s can access and work with it?

 

Any advice would be overwhelmingly welcome.

We run cope but i've never been handed a CD. However for other things like this we have a network share which we map to a drive and allow executable to be run from it through a GPO for staff and students. The actual exe's and files are in a hidden folder and the users just get a shortcut to it.

Yup, this is how I would do it if I was ever given a CD.

 

On our shared drive I know there are some word documents which the kids fill in to compile their portfolio's, as to how the rest of it is run I stay as far out of it as I can. CoPE was being run before I started here, however I've tightend up the Software Restriction considerably since then and nobody has come to say anything about a CoPE program not running.
