Restoring a WindowsImageBackup fails to find a backup after moving image

So last year I was given these lovely tablets to setup, 20 of them with only a USB type interface, no LAN connection and no CD Drive of course.

 

So I managed via an external USB CD to Install our copy of Windows (didn't want all the bloated software on the originals), installed our own Office 2010, installed a few other bits and pieces of software.

 

Made a WindowsImageBackup and managed to build the rest from the backup, it was a bit of a faf but once into the routine it was a lot quicker than doing the tablets one by one.

 

Unfortunately we gave our External hard drive to a member of staff so had to copy the backup to somewhere else for safe keeping.

 

Now the backup is not seen by Windows when restoring :-( , all the required files seem to be there, some 17GB worth.
