GorgeRang Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I need suggestion from you guys:how to enable Blu-ray on my Asus Win 8.1 computer. If I need purchase some equipment, I prefer it to be cheaper. 3D effect is not important for me.
Norphy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Assuming that your laptop doesn't already have a bluray drive, you need a USB BluRay Drive and some software such as WinDVD or PowerDVD to play the films. From what I understand though, playing back BluRay discs on computers can be... painful. You'd probably be better getting a standalone player or a Playstation/Xbox.
StevieM Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 You could also try downloading VLC Media Player, which (I think) supports Blu-Ray playback...and it's free!
localzuk Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 VLC doesn't support bluray out of the box I don't think. You have to provide some form of key library and the like to it for it to work. Most bluray drives come with software though, so if you buy one you should be able to install whatever that is and you should be able to watch your blurays.
