Chromecast in schools

We have just got a chromecast for a teacher however we are struggling with the set up with it. The problem is our proxy in the school can't be inputted into it to get it to work on the internet.

 

has anyone had a similar problem or know a solution?

We had the problem. I believe they are 'hackable' which may mean you could set HTTP_PROXY. Our 'solution' was just to say they are unsupported! I think Miracast type devices may be better as they don't rely on phoning home.
