We have 2 domains in the college, admin and curriculum.

I cannot see clients that are on the curriculum domain, yet I can see clients on the admin domain when i view from either domain.

Can anyone shed any light on why this might be?

Curric is locked down by user group policy, but the client machine was logged in as an admin when I was trying to view it.

So the short version is that regardless of which domain I am viewing from, I can only see admin machines, not curric.

Might there be something at the domain controller level which is causing this to occur, such as blocking the client from showing itself?

We are desperate to get this to work, so if anyone can help, it would be fantastic.

I should mention that both domains are within the same IP range, that is 10.22.*.* and the subnet is 255.255.252.0

We've tried disabling Firewalls on curric clients, but to no avail.

i think lan view will only work with the domain that the lanview server is installed on. But i think you can set up lanview server on the other doamin and get it to talk to the admin domain. i will try and find the info for you

Sounds like the trusts are wrong - surely you'd want admin to be able to see curric - not the other way around!

I can see the admin machines from curric or admin.

I can't see the curric machines from curric or admin.

Would that still be a trust issue?

Cross domain was my first thought, but i've ruled it out as I have server installed on both domains.

I see admin machines from the curric domain, I can see the same admin machines from the admin domain, but I can't see curric from either domain.

Is this just with vnc Tx or are you talkin about seeing the PCs normally across the network?

It's just with LanView3. We can't see the curric PC's, but we can see PC's on the admin domain.
