How do you cancel an Amazon Prime trial?

I'm a biot baffled here. I signed up for the free trial last month and it runs out tomorrow. To prevent being automatically enrolled and billed I'm trying to cancel the subscription but am being led in circles (not that Amazon would want to make this hard in any way!) and finding dead ends when following thier instructions.

For instance, according to this help page here: Amazon.com Help: End Your Amazon Prime Membership all I have to do is go to is follow a provided link and click 'Do not continue' next to the trial. However, when I follow the link (and yes, I am logged in) I get this:

 

 

Am I missing something?

Looks like that's the US site... try this link. You can log into both amazon.co.uk and amazon.com with the same account so that's probably why you're confused.

Looks like your already not signed up. However, I signed up for prime thinking it was a free trial and it was not - I just cancelled it and Amazon refunded me the money (minus what I had used for a next day delivery)

I found it to be useful for the free family discounts that came with (20% off nappies and wipes with free next day delivery is a godsend with a 1month old around!!)

If they do bill you for it, don't worry. Send them a contact us thing and they will refund you the money if you have not used it. They are normally quite quick about it too. Personally I like it. I tend to do a lot of shopping on amazon for things that I could buy in town, but at a much higher price. Next day delivery with DPD makes it all the better.

I forgot to cancel mine in April, but quite enjoying it now... got the Amazon Prime on my Smart TV and you can let other members of your household get the free next day delivery too if you add them through your account... (I've just added my mum - who lives elsewhere and it seems to have gone through)...

 

It's not too bad now the TV's included, but a bit expensive as an up-front payment...

I just checked my bank account today, and discovered a £75 debit to Amazon Prime. Little bit miffed. Contacted Amazon and my Bank to get my money back. I've never used, never clicked on it, and am not sure I really ever will, or even why I was billed!

He he! I did. I ordered a book for the Wife for christmas 3 weeks ago, and clicked Amazon Prime free next day delivery, not realising it meant "ps - we'll charge you £75 in 3 weeks without telling you".

I quite like my prime membership, but that does mean I have to remember to sign out of Amazon BEFORE going out on a night out... Not had anything hugely wierd, just a load of books etc that I ordered but have no recollection of...
