Craig_W Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Has anybody successfully deployed a QR Reader for Windows 8.1 that makes use of a tablets webcam? There are some on the Windows store, but I have yet to figure out how to deploy these on mass (if possible at all!) and would just like something that is possibly msi format to deploy with GPO. Alternatively if anybody can advise how to deploy from the Windows Store? Have tried Quickmark with no joy. Thanks

Craig_W Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 Thanks for that link - will give it a try and see how it goes
witch Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Didn't know whether to revive this thread or create a new one, and then I thought..to heck with it... I have been asked to put a QR scanner on all 70 lenovo YOGA laptops. Has anyone done it and can tell me how?
Arthur Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 (edited) Has anyone done it and can tell me how? Go to www.the-qrcode-generator.com/scan. Grant access to webcam. Scan QR Code. Job done! The above website is from the @FN-GM's Web Based Software Master Thread... www.edugeek.net/forums/educational-software/185674-list-web-based-software-master-thread.html Edited September 21, 2017 by Arthur 1
witch Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Hmmm Granting permanent access to webcam for students to use the above site isn't proving very easy
Arthur Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Granting permanent access to webcam for students to use the above site isn't proving very easy Did you add the URL above to the Chrome GPO called "URLs that will be granted access to video capture devices without prompt"? It works for me.
witch Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 We managed to get a QR code reader working on the lenovos but the camera doesnt seem to be good enough to read any code, which surprised me. There doesnt seem to be anything I can do about it, sadly
