mattbrap Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Hi!, I recently just tried to root a HTC One mini with a custom ROM unfortunately I didn't select the USB Debugging option and this has caused it not to recognise the custom ROM. This is why I am suddenly wanting to go back to the stock version of HTC sense yet I've tried multiple solutions yet it's still not recovering itself, so it is just stuck in the fastboot menu???? PLEASE HELP?? :'(( Edited August 9, 2014 by ZeroHour
abillybob Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 @ZeroHour he didn't get to the point of rooting it, what happened is that we where attempting to root it so put it into fastboot mode and installed CWM recovery and then expected to install the zip file to root it, though CWM wouldn't find the zip file and only showed what was in the cache, we then restarted the phone and it hung at the HTC boot logo and won't boot at all! On my Samsung I'd just stick it into download mode and use odin to install the stock firmware but I can't find anything like this for HTC one mini! I'd appreciate any help in order to sort it, we can still access fastboot mode cheers
MordyT Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 An RUU is HTCs "Odin Mode" if you will - look on XDA for a One Mini RUU Is boot loader unlocked? What recovery is installed?

Bootloader is unlocked as far as I know and its CWM Recovery that's installed. I have tried finding a RUU, we found a FUU whatever that is for a HTC One Mini but it didn't fix it! Any ideas or links you guys know that will help
MordyT Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Well, if boot loader unlocked (are you s off), flash away whatever you want... Fastboot flash recovery recovery.IMG Fastboot boot recovery recovery.IMG Flash what you want in the recovery. Not even close to a brick or being stuck. Where exactly are you experiencing issues?

We are a bit confused because I have only ever messed around with a Samsung device, we can't seem to be able to re-flash another or the standard stock rom - bit of a noob with HTC you'd be a life saver if you could tell me how to flash a ROM back on the device step by step? I don't know what you mean by s-off? Although when in CWM recovery it won't allow you to browse the /sdcard (standard internal storage - I have tried mounting this manully in CWM but it just says error can't mount) for some strange reason and it fails to mount it so I can't access the .zip to install any ROM?
abillybob Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Bump - Can nobody help us further otherwise the phone is going to be chucked in the bin?
