mwalpole Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Dear Colleagues, We are currently experiencing issues with some of our Sophos servers where updates are not coming down from Sophos themselves as they should do. This is affecting updates for computers using either http://sophos.yhgfl.net/libraryv52r2 or http://sophos.yhgfl.net/updatewin as update locations, as well as access to the website http://sophos.yhgfl.net which doesn’t seem to be responding to users when they try to browse to it. This is something our engineers are looking into with the highest priority and we hope to have these issues resolved as soon as possible. Kind Regards Marc Walpole 1

mwalpole Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Hi Roundit, We set up this thread more or less the same time as we sent it to the LA's and posted on our twitter feed @yhgfl_technical. It is possible it just hasn't made it out to the schools yet. Kind regards Marc
mwalpole Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Dear Colleagues, Our engineers have now completed the restoration of all of the Sophos servers, so that the updates are now coming down from all update locations and access to the websites, along with the downloads and guides, are now also available again. The issue was one of the Sophos servers had failed over, but had not failed over correctly, causing updates to stop working and the website to go down . We have restored the server and put in place preventative fixes to ensure that if the main server fails over, it does this correctly with no outages to our customers. Kind Regards Marc 2
