clareq Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I can't get Toshiba A9 laptops to build via PXE, so I thought I would build a media set and build them from DVD, until I get a chance to troubleshoot the PXE issue. So I've built a Task Sequence Media set, which runs over 3 DVDs. The system boots successfully from disk 1, formats the drive, then fails. Looking at the logs it's looking for the default wim image. The problem is, that image is on DVD 2, and it hasn't asked me to change disks. Have I missed something?
free780 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Why not just make a boot CD that pulls the image from your dp?
clareq Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Because the problem is with the network - although I have the correct drivers in, the link drops half way through the build, whether I PXE or CD boot. All other machines build with no problems, it's only the Toshiba Tecra A9 I have problems with.
free780 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Have you tried adding nic drivers to the boot image?
clareq Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Yes, I've done all the obvious things - and as I said - it connects initially, then drops the link - I can press F8, and have a ping going and see it stop when I select the TS - whichever TS I select.
