Hi to all,

I have noticed a lot of people moving onto pastures new this summer and wondered if there were anymore who hadn't mentioned on here.

I saw the below and congratulations @forkies

Anyone else going for a new challenge, being promoted, being made redundant, or dare I say it...........been sacked!? :)

I am interested to see if the main movement is from the Public to Private Sector and whether it is just down to wages or the fact you are more appreciated or any other reasons?

Chris

I left public sector education for private sector education, then did gardening for a change of pace, then now in legal IT. Wages in the legal IT world are reasonably good, I am on a lot more than the public education sector gave me.

I did a February half term transfer from a IT Technician in a secondary school to a IT Support Officer role supporting 4 primary schools. Seems so long ago now though.

@CPLTD thanks! Yes it has been a good move, took some adjusting and getting used to with the travelling and being at different sites each day. I have learned alot as there are different systems in place but all in all a very good move even after 8 years working for the previous school.
