agiles Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 As soon as I open my computer I am being infested with ads from Ads from Offerwizard. I have tried to delete the program from the control panel but to no avail. Please can someone help me to remove them as they keep popping up while I work and they are driving me crazy! Regards, agiles
SYNACK Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Malwarebytes | Thank you for download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - the free version, don't bother with the 30 day trial
weathmatth Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 As above, MalewareBytes will sort the issue. Might be worth booting into Safemode then run the Malewarebytes scan.

Hi Weathmatth Whilst i would usually agree with this type of action to remove an infection, i have seen on the Malwarebytes anti-malware forums that you should not run this application in safe mode unless there is absolutely no other option, as the type of link scanner technology that is used to search for the viruses heuristically is unavailable, and means that infections are not completely removed. source : Windows 7 Help Forums I hope this helps
elsiegee40 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Malwarebytes is always my first port of call and it's very good, but tests have shown that even the best scanners don't get 100% of malware... and they all get a slightly different set. I start with Malwarebytes, then move on to Emisoft Emergency Kit (used to be called A-Squared) which usually gets a few more and then finish with Microsoft Safety Scanner I usually run all 3 on a normal boot and, if things still don't seem right, boot in Safe Mode and repeat the exercise.
SHimmer45 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 combofix malwarebytes sophos savcli32 (free from there site) spybotv1.62 are my usual start points for "crap" removal. where possible scans in safemode are more beneficial with the account that has the issue and the computer administrator.
