[closed] bug/error: Edugeek dropping out

Seem to be getting a lot of drop outs lately when the site just stops responding. It manifests in taking 40s for the quick reply button to kick in or it only loading the title of the page and no more along with posts taking up to a minute to submit. Could be related to the 'updated' issue as the same kind of stuff happened there but resulted in a 'updated' post where as now when/if the post does make it, it does so as intended.

I often have to stop and refresh a page to get it to load completely. Sometimes I just end up closing the browser and coming back later. I also have difficulty using the Quick Reply, which doesn't always recognise keystrokes.

Same here the keystroke thing only seems to happen on IE 11 for me any other browser is normally ok.

I read that @ZeroHour is moving Edugeeks hosting, that may be a factor?

I've had the typing thing with IE 11 since I started using EduGeek tried on different computers and still misses keystrokes! Other browsers work fine though!

IE11 is a separate issue.

 

We are moving hosts to AWS to try them out, the CDN was moved to AWS earlier last week and I am thinking we hopefully can move hosting this weekend

Any idea which element of the site is slow or just general html?

Sometimes the home page just doesn't load - in both IE and Chrome. Also when I click reply nothing seems to happen although if you click again it tells you it is a repeat click. Sometimes I have to go off the thread and come back and my reply is then there.

Not spotted any particular patterns. Saying that, I've just typed this response in the quick reply box without any problem - until I went back to fix a spelling mistake.

We are now hosted on a new platform with Amazon, let me know if you have any of these issues and if possible the time of the day and page you were on.
