mike86 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Hi all. I need to create apple ids for all of our year 4 students, about 60, then eventually the other year groups. I would rather not do this individually as it will take ages, especially activating from the e-mails it sends, i've had a look round the web & there are a few scripts that do it, however, i'm wondering if anyone on here has managed to successfully bulk create apple ID's & if so how did you go about it? Thanks M
abillybob Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Call Apple let them know your situation, you can then forward a list of all students names and email addresses to their Education team and they will do it for you (well they did for a school that I went to visit) 1
abillybob Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Surely they'd be under apples age limit for an ID of their own even the education only ID has a limit of 11. They can with a parent or guardians permission. Statement from Apple: They can have an Apple ID but the Apple ID must be created by a parent or legal guardian. To use any of the Services, you must be at least 13 years old (or, for non-U.S. users, such older minimum age as may be required by applicable local laws 1
abillybob Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Thanks, I'll try giving apple a call. No worries, they are very helpful normally and will try to sort you out. I have a magic number for Apple which should enable you to skip through all the annoying queues and waiting times, 03330886017 1

steveg Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Did you managed to get this done? Do you have any contact details for the correct department? I've got to create 48 accounts for new ipads and don't fancy doing them manually! Thanks Steve
mike86 Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Contacted apple & they would not do this for us...however I gave them our details and they whitelisted us for 30 days, so we could make multiple accounts without being blocked, I managed to get them done pretty quickly from iTunes on a mac book. Only problem is you have to activate the apple id from an email link.
rdk Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 The whitelisting is because you can only make a limited number of accounts from the same IP address. Before we found this out we had a lot of issues, and staff were making five at a time from various different places and with different routers. At least with whitelisting you can make as many as you need from the one place. Still not very easy, though.
