Retrieving deleted documents

Hi guys.

 

A teacher accidentally deleted some xls files from a memory stick. Is there a free way of retrieve them? I only have the memory stick with me.

there are quite a few products out there for file recovery, I tend to use "Recuva" its free to download

Another option could be to use OS Forensics

This page explains about recovering deleted files: OSForensics - Recover and Search Deleted Files (not in Recycle Bin)

I have used it during forensic investigations for my uni course but could be useful here and you don't need a license for it just use the trial version, it should allow you to do everything, maybe just for a limited time or something like that
