Nice to see the unemployed are getting stuck in - seem a few level 21's already!

 

Bit of a bold statement? My friends aren't unemployed and they're level 21 already... it's not hard to get there... it takes 8 hours to complete the game :|

Got it on pre-order, but I wasn't there to collect, so gonna have to pick up a new copy when I get back on Sunday.. but then it's game time

You can change your player card on the scoreboard and party screen by changing your emblem. The vendor is in the entrance plaza to The Tower.

 

Also you can get a cloak (Titans call it Titan Mark) as an item drop. A vendor sells high level cloaks as a rep reward in The Tower from various vendors.

 

I haven't figured out how to sell so I just dismantle unwanted stuff on the inventory screen.

 

Also remember to pick up bounties for some better levelling.

Been playing this for a few hours today and have just about reached the end of where the beta finished off. I'm enjoying it but it seems to be getting slated by the review sites for a lack of variety and small levels. I guess I'll see how it goes when I reach some of the other planets. PSN tag is deathhaggis for anyone that fancies a game.

Did anyone bother with the release copy, as far as I can tell it is World of WarHalo with every weakness from both franchise. If I have to retrace the same small maps for yet another mission that could have been part of a cogent storyline I am going to puke. REALLY wish I had not bothered, it is very pretty and game mechanics are good but it has no discernable story, flow or scale.

 

In conclusion... If I had wanted a season pass to waiting for my stop on the bus I could have just brought a travel pass and got the whole thing in 3D motionmaster fidelity rather than wasting power for the 2D artists vision of waiting on the bus.

 

- for fullness, I have it on XBOX one and I was talking to someone about it who has the PS4 version, we both had the same complaints. -

I agree with your comments 100% but I'm still finding it fun and enjoyable... it's a strange game.

It has it's issues, but I am having fun. Will see come end game if I keep at it.

Here is a link for codes for shaders, grimoire cards and emblems.

Used them yesterday and some of them are quite nice.

Can't use the shaders yet as you have to be level 20.

What do those cards actually do? Do they give you any boosts when playing the game?

 

I'm also soloing but have tried out strikes with random people... still good fun even if you don't know your allies.

Grimoire cards are the lore behind the game.

 

To read them you have to go on Bungie's site or the companion app.

What about shaders and emblems... you said you used them yesterday so I thought they may give you something special in-game?

Shaders are colour schemes for your armour, so it looks pretty.

Emblems are for your ingame profile bar (?) to change the look and emblem in it.

That thing is insane. Nerf needed pl0x. I found the SR-2 version of it, almost maxed out RoF, still stuck with the scout though, single shot will always be my favourite

 

Wandered into the crucible, everyone was 20+ .. it didn't help them, golden gun still OSK, melee still two

What's the mag size on the SR2 version? The big appeal isn't just the RoF on my auto rifle but the fact I can hold the fire button down at close range and pack 60 rounds into enemies in one long, heavy mag dump.

Didn't check mag size, saw it wasn't a 3 and just broke it down.

 

Sticking to my Scouts / Snipers. Went through and read up on the three stats last night so I know what to gear towards now for cool down fixy fixy.

Finished the main game last night with @CAM and a last minute join from @jaminben, pretty bog standard "Lets drape some story over our shooter so people think they're doing something"

 

"Real Game" begins now though, gear grind and then raid vaults. It's like a tiny MMO for the PS4 <3
