plagiarism plugin for Moodle 2.5

I have been asked by my SLT to investigate a plagiarism plugin for moodle. we have tried the free ones but they kept making moodle crash. the question is what are others using? any help/ suggestions is appreciated.

We use Crot, one of the free ones and we've never experienced a crash with it. Turnitin and VeriCite are supposed to be very good but I don't know how much they cost.
