I've already been playing with it.. I had a test server running 6.5, I fresh installed 7... Seems a few of the packages I usually use like 'rdekstop' and 'xrdp' have been removed completely and have been replaced by 'freedesktop'. I dont want freedesktop so I'll stick with 6.5 until the repos have been updated to include some of the packages.

Have you tested any services, radius etc? I'll need to test through the applications that are dependent on LDAP accounts and see if these can run on centos 7, centos 6 was a battle for some things for the first 6 months ish, so I'm not looking forward to it :D

Well, I built a squid proxy server on Centos 7 yesterday, the process seemed to be almost identical to 6x. However, for some reason unless the squid config said transparent in the http_port line that port wasn't accessible outside of that machine (no firewall or selinux on)

General notes:

I installed from the minimal iso

It is worth adding yum install net-tools iptables-services to be able to use ifconfig and systemctl stop|start|disable iptables
