Dear the Edugeek faithfull,

After have a few issues with the Vision HDMI splitter (this) and an issue they don't seem to be able to resolve with the HDMI splitter not outputting from laptops correctly (infact at all).

Does anybody use and recommend an HDMI splitter which works with Laptops and other audio visual equipment?

Thanks

I presume you've updated to the latest graphics driver?

Yes - 3 different models of laptops and multiple cables. Vision have confirmed it is an issue with the splitter but only with laptops. They have Lifesize Video Conference equipment which works fine.

This is what is outputted on both TV's from the laptop.

It is being investigated by there R & D team in Australia now.

To be honest I've used HDMI splitters with TVs, not notebooks. I suppose a quick fix (as an alternative) is to use a VGA splitter. It'll do 1366 x 768 (HD resolution) without any issues. You shouldn't be able to see any difference, unless you're eagle eyed!

They have a cheap one at the moment which works but we need to use HDMI as it is built into the building at the moment.
