Hi, I've a vpp account set up and am starting to use meraki.

We have added £150 credit and this has been emailed to me (vpp account) so I now have a code to use.

At the moment we have the one ipad that is going to be locked to just one app. It's a communication app that some pupils use on ipads that are provided by an outside agency. We now need one ipad with the app for staff to train on.

I'm now a little confused as to best way to go about pushing the app.

Using meraki before with ipods (early, old version ipods) apps were pushed to devices themselves. Not sure if I had to log in on each device for the app to install or not. This was all some time back and what may be slightly confusing me here is the use of apple configurator too, I think I installed some apps using that on them too!

So now we push to iTunes accounts?

I've created an email account called [email protected] for use. Just waiting for the email account to go live then I shall create an iTunes account.

Within meraki is there then an option to push to this account?

Or, should I just simply push the app to the device itself? Would I be able to revoke the app that way and use on a different device later on?

I need to get my head round this as I believe we are about to order more ipads for pupil use, but not 1:1

For this I'm undecided as to the best option again. Setup one iTunes account for a teacher and let them log in and accept the (meraki) pushed app or just manage them myself.

If ipads are not 1:1 is it worth having individual iTunes accounts on each one?

Thanks

We had to set up an account with them as we do not have a credit card. Bursar now is able to log in and purchase credit online using a purchase order.

It was very long winded to set up and at first it seemed we couldn't do it.

Address we now use (and I think where you set the account up) is - http://ecommerce.apple.com

Good luck!
