Apple Configurator on a go slow

Hopefully someone can help.

Been rattling through these iPads over the past few days. I have prepared an iPad put the apps on. made a back up and then used that in the prepare settings to do the rest of the ipads. This has been working fine 5 plugged into the macbook the prepare then supervise was talking rougly 10 mins per batch.

However todays lot have been going for 30 mins and we are still in the prepare stage. Estimated time is 6 hours.

 

I have stoopped and restarted them again from the beginning and still the same time.

When I look at the stuff it say its downloading ios 7.1.2 any ideas what I can do to speed things up

Where are you located? If it's around Worcestershire Council the broadband for me here is going terribly slow say 6 hours to wait before download is completed! You can download the latest iOS from here Download Firmware (IPSW) Files for iOS Devices and then shove that in the appropriate Apple Configurator Folder and Apple Configurator will pick up the download. Could be quicker is could be slower who knows...

Use either of these tricks to get configurator to see the iOS Firmware on your Mac...

same for me matt on ngfl every time apple send out new update the day is almost put on hold
