IanMac Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Sorry if this is in the wrong area or it is posted elsewhere - had no luck searching.. As the title says... I just wondered how long you are supposed to keep your EOY data tapes for? 1, 2, 5 years ??? Is there a legal/Education requirement? Thanks for any advice in advance ps. Mods please move to correct section if req.
Jonah Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Now we're out of BSF (when the oldest backup at any one time was 3 weeks!) - we keep our EOYs for 5 years.

IanMac Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Fantastic. Thanks guys. According to those guidelines and if I am not mistaken then 1 year is the requirement Thanks again
john Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I'd argue depends what is on that tape, if it has records related to children its DOB of the child plus 25 years last time I looked, if they are looked after / SEN it changes things so worth reading into it and seeing what is on the tape.
IanMac Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Hi John, it is mainly teacher and pupil home directories. SIMS data I agree may be a different matter. Thanks
