We have had no luck getting PDFs to print using either acobat 10 or 11, or using the xpdf command line i nthe web-print-config file

If we used xpdf, it just hanges at Job Render. Processing...

If we used acrobat i can see reader opening on the webprint sever, and minimizing, and 1 job sitting in the queue...

any ideas?

Ive send my logs to papercut...

Could you confirm a couple of things?

1. Can you confirm which driver type you are using on the printer, I have known certain drivers to play up when integrated with Papercut and such tools (used to get problems with PS drivers and PCounter)

2. Is this on a particular make/model of printer (used to find it wouldn't print on our MFPs but worked fine on our Lasers)

3. Is this printing from Adobe Reader 10/11 directly, or is this the web-based plugin for PDFs?

1. The followme queue and all the printers use Toshiba Universal Print Driver 2 (PCL6).

2. We only have toshibas and our webprint only prints to the followme queue, which then the students can use any printer on campus to release their jobs.

3. Ive installed Reader 10/11 Acrobat Pro 10/11 neither of which worked.

4. Office Suite works just fine, and .docx, xlsx, .pptx all release fine.

5. Ive added the line to force the xpdf to be the default pdf printer in the web print config file... and im able to print 1 pdf, and then the rest just sit there and say Rendering Processing ... until the time out... if i reboot the webprint server, i can print 1

6. Ive reinstalled the papercut mf software and still no work. Im about to just build a new vm.

Interesting thread; found this after finding a 4 page PDF file that Papercut wouldn't seem to work with. It would only print 2 pages. Ask it to print just page 3... nothing.

Works perfectly with Foxit! Wouldn't be entirely surprised if it's Adobe.
