cpjitservices Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Hi all, I have a problem with a customer whereby if they do a search for an email in Outlook, it seems to only display old emails - no new ones appear in the search at all. I've removed the .ost so that Outlook brings in all the emails again, same result. I've also tried re-indexing all the emails and get the same results. Said customer has 3 Archives and the .ost files under the data files section of Outlook Accounts. Whether this makes a difference or not I've no idea ? Any Ideas ?
Grey-gear Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Could the inbox be filtering out any e-mail past a date? sorry I can't be more help 1
cpjitservices Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Nah I cant see any settings in outlook itself... I've got 1 more thing to dry... turn off Cached Exchange mode.
Grey-gear Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) That could work, if it search is only looking at the cached e-mail it would not see new ones that had yet to be cached. Does the user have webmail? if so do they have the same issuse there? Edited June 18, 2014 by Grey-gear
network41 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 had a similar issue a while ago and turned out to be the View settings , it had hidden an entire weeks worth of emails took me ages to spot it. Check this is not whats happened in this case.
