jcs808 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Hello everyone Apologies as I’m sure I’ve seen a thread already covering this but I can’t find it. We have someone due to start in September and I’ve been asked to set them up with a username & email etc. so they can start preparing work now. This sounds reasonable but I’m sure that I should get this OK’d by the head as effectively we’d be giving access to school resources to someone who isn’t an employee. Thanks
DevilsAdvocate Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Get it OK'd first. We often get asked to do things like this and it takes all of 5 minutes to get a higher up to just say it's OK. Not worth shouldering the blame yourself.
IrritableTech Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 It's worth checking with a higher authority - a quick email is best so you can keep a copy of the reply. Not only aren't they an employee yet, it's likely they aren't CRB cleared yet either.
witch Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I'm always being asked to do this - by the head or deputy so I do it and pass him the details. Then it is his responsibility
