cdunn93 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Hi all, Have recently handed out new teacher laptops, 64-bit windows 7 pro, and have had to link them up to all the teachers smartboards without a problem. One of the teachers however has got a Sahara Clevertouch so getting the visual was all good and also interactivity however I cannot for some reason get smart ink to work. He wants to be able to annotate web pages and apps however all the pen/pointer does is touch the screen and highlight objects. Does anyone know why this is? Do I need to update the smart software or download a specific driver for the board? Many thanks,
Clevertouch_Rob Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Its going to be an issue with Smart software rather than the Clevertouch.
cdunn93 Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 ok thank you I shall look into this and report back my findings
OxfordBlue Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Smart ink is only available for Smart's own products.. you can try the transparent background mode, works similar for other hardware, but Smart will still charge you a licence fee for using their software.

fredbayker Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Does the Lynx software that comes bundled with the clevertouch not have this functionality? take a look at this too: http://open-sankore.org/en I haven't tried it yet so I won't comment on it's pros/cons just yet.
