Would like some smoothwall pricing as I am in the market for a new firewall and filtering solution. Looking a Palo Alto and would like to compare with Smoothwall.

 

Any suggestions who I can email or speak too?

We bought ours direct but the majority of the resellers I use know and sell the Smoothwall UTM's.

Sophos UTM is another solution.

 

But if you want pricey, look at the Cisco ASA 5xxx series with the various modules and additional services to give it UTM capabilities.

 

Don't forget the lowest cash cost option of pfsense, 3rd party web filter (lightspeed/smoothwall/bloxx/websense) and Windows Server Web Application Proxy

Only price I have got is for the Palo Alto 500. How does sophos compare to smoothwall price wise?

The vast majority of our schools use either NETASQ's or Fortinet's Firewall UTM. Both are very good, just PM me if you'd like a quote, or to speak to one of our schools using them, or even to organise a trial.
