I have a strange problem (well strange to me). We have an RDS server (Server 2012 R2) with our financial software installed on here. Each user gets a mapped drive that the finance software exports to (Bacs etc), the user will then log on to the backing website to upload the bacs file.

The problem starts when trying to open the mapped drive from with in IE11. It simply says: "P:\ Drive is not accessible. Network Access Denied". I'm guessing this is because IE11 doesn't run in the users context and what ever user it's running as hasn't the appropriate privileges. At least thats my guess.

The user can access the mapped drive with file explorer and the finance software can access it, just not IE.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Think i've found the problem. When i have protected mode enabled it doesn't allow me to open files from the mapped drive, if i disable this it allows me. Now i just need to try and find out how to add an exception instead of disabling it.
