Having just looked at the job, wouldn't it be sensible to make the post full year instead of term time plus 2 weeks and get rid of the flexible bit during times where the work load is heavy.

That's what I asked for from the SLT - as I explained the nature of network support. However, what we have compromised on was term-time plus 2 weeks and the understanding that flexibility may be required, thus we have tried to be upfront about this flexibility from the start.

 

I would have loved a full-time Technician

I am in a similar job at the moment and to be honest it isn't flexible. I have to work at the busy times but have yet to get the time of in term time as they cannot cope with out me being there. As it is they want to me to come in on my days off to do some extra bits ( I am 3 days a week),but will not pay me as they cannot afford to...

G4 job? serious??? i do twice as much work for a G3!!! inculding management of staff and looking after a local primary school! had it been all year round i'd apply for sure! right i'm having words with the boss about my job description!!!!
