Gah Time Machine why won't you just work!

Hey Guys

 

I have this MBP and it does a time machine backup to the Mac Server, I know the backup works fine as I've used it before now although when I go to restore the machine and select from a time machine backup, it finds the server share straight away, I click on the share and press connect and eveter the servers administrator username and password but it just gives me an error message saying "Unable to connect to Mac Server it may be a problem with your DNS or IP Address contact your service administrator" it's increasingly frustrating as this is the MBP with Apple Configurator installed and this is the last day I have to put the new apps on the iPads! Grrr anyone know how to get this sorted? Or shall I just chuck this shiny down the toilet and tell my boss to deal with it.

What was it? I don't have any Apple kit here so interesting to know.

Haha found out it was something due to the new 9.3 Mavericks update where Time Machine for some reason won't allow access to a backup share using the Administrator account. If you enable the root account (hidden administrator) and change the password you can access it that way you can also use terminal to manually mount she share first before restoring it with time machine. Apple are sorting this though!
