We are carrying out extra testing to confirm that the issues above have all been fully resolved. This has taken longer than anticipated and will mean that the release is now planned for tomorrow.

We are doing all we can to ensure that this is in the morning and I will provide an update later today.

Once again, we do apologise for any inconvenience that this delay might cause.

Regards,

Jonathan Wood

You mind editing out his email address. Poor guy dealing with a SIMS release, he doesn't need a mailbox full of spam to top it off

Fair point, all done :)

How long before it gets pulled? ;)

Anyone noticed that the release has seemingly killed SupportNet?

Nah, that's so you watch the Favicon. It will hypnotise to into forgetting the failure and believe this is the first release and all is well.

All joking aside, you have to commend them, they have been very quick to respond and get these bugs sorted.

Let's just hope there aren't any more show-stoppers, poor Jon must be a wreck.

If i wasn't battling the timetable right now, i'd whack it on my test setup just to see how it goes.

I do feel sorry for him, humour cures all :-)

I'm not doing anything with it. I am the only one on the Helpdesk answering calls, why aren't more schools closed? and I have only 7 1/2 days left here. :clap2:

We've been closed for two weeks. Isn't today a strike day for teachers?

I bet they'll all install next week and you'll have the last half day from hell :p

Off to anywhere nice? ... like the real world ...

Yes, the real world, away from boiling frogs and u-turns in freight liners. Looks like my training side is winning over my baking side.

anyone tried it on 2003? I have a couple in the wild still...
Working and being supported are miles apart. There was a thread about it recently but for previous versions not this one. With the number of bugs that crop up, do you really want to risk your central data store? I know your hands are probably tied, just saying

Cool - enjoy. I'm sure you'll be back, just like matt40K - he SIMSply cant resist

Please tell me you're going to take SOLUS 2 and open source it so we can keep on using it :D

..or you could package each update into an MSI ;)
