Chrome Developer Tools - allow or disallow?

Couldn't decide which section to put this under - please change if incorrect.

 

Until now, we've had Chrome Developer Tools disabled by GPO, but our ICT teacher wants it allowed for his coding class. It used to allow downloading of YouTube videos which obviously was bad, but I understand Google have now stopped this being possible.

 

Anyone know if there are any other reasons why it'd be a bad idea to allow access to it?

I presume they dont have addons currently?

I do use it all the time and I can see why your ICT teacher might want it but it does make it very simply to adjust any page in the browser.

I had to open it up for my IT teacher's coding class although I work in quite a nice school where the students tend not to bugger about with things.
