fairm010 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Hi all, I'm trying to set up YouTube for schools but whenever I click signup I get a 505 error and the amusing but quite annoying Monkeys bla bla bla. Happening on Chrome (latest) and IE9. Is anyone else getting this? Matt

fairm010 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Thanks Kinster, although that did not help in this situation.
OB1 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Have you tried again since then? I've had this error before setting this up. Try again later.™
BSCC_Tech Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Sorry but is anybody still having sign up issues, Error 500 and the Monkey is going to get it soon if I cant resolve this....
OB1 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 If it's been going on for more than a couple of hours, try removing all your cookies from google.com, youtube.com and all of their subdomains. Clear the browser cache as well. You'll have to log in again.
BSCC_Tech Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ob1 I have done all that tried other machines even tried from my mac at home and still the monkeys. This is a nightmare and I can't find a link for the YouTube support.
free780 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 What support? Google don't communicate when they change things on youtube for schools.
free780 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Its all over here. https://productforums.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!categories/google-education/youtube-for-schools I wish they could just have a blog/rss/twitter telling us when they are messing about with it. Also when they will fix the app/ssl issues.

robjduk Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 sometimes (about twice a year on average) we come in to Youtube Education being bricked. Lucky for me we get our Lightspeed filtering through the local council so it is their problem to sort out. I just sit back, drink coffee and relax.

BSCC_Tech Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 No not good enough massive adoption and no support = bad press and developer avoidance we will bring google down.
fairm010 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 I agree. A company as big as Google who push this into schools who then don't offer support to those that need is not helping themselves. A try weekly and still not working
free780 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 It would be better if they charged a small amount. Just so their was some support.
