I come from the school of thought that if there is no deployable msi that can go out via gpo then it doesn't get installed - but I'm researching other methods. (I know about PDQDeploy). Cheers Gareth

plexer Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 The biggest drawback of just choosing msi and group policy is the complete lack of feedback so whilst you can push out the app you have no reporting and no idea if it successfully deployed without additional work. Ben 1

Ben Exactly what I like about Ninite. You get a good idea of where it is installed and any new versions. 1

All of a sudden it seems ok. Gareth It depends on the number of PCs. For example... 100 PCs is $240 USA (something like 172 euros...), but up to 250 is 600 USA (like 450 euros). Ben This is why you need SCCM or PDQ Deploy.
