garethEds Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I've just had prices for these from our local supplier and realise I cannot afford to replace my whiteboard (which has died). Sigh. 65" I wanted. What are people paying for these things? Gareth

RichCowell Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 We've got 3 CTouch screens and I love them, so do the teachers using them... happy to discuss further if you want to pm me... 1
snagrat Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I know of other brands 65inch that cost around £3100 just for the hardware. What figure you been quoted?
synaesthesia Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 No, but we're looking at getting one to try. Seem to good to be true but several people have them in stock (confirmed)
snagrat Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Do they have toughened glass as cannot see they do. Could get damaged by the kids easy?
RichCowell Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Very tough, every time I've seen them at demos people have been whacking the screens with the remote, knocking hard on it... it convinced me...
Danp Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 We have just bought 2 x 65" Genee screens, just waiting for them to be fitted. We had a demo of them a few weeks ago which went well, I missed it as it was while I was off after my operation.
Danp Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 What sort of price did you get the Genee's for? More than I would have paid! £3k each!

Are they any good?
synaesthesia Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I note the Philips screens are a few kilo's heavier than the Genees and Ctouch devices. I'm guessing that means theres probably hard glass at the front but still would like some confirmation by seeing one

Estates should be mounting them today or tomorrow hopefully. Slightly off topic, just seen your location, I was down in Mumbles at the weekend, trip to Three Cliffs Bay on Saturday and Rhossili on Sunday.
