Hi all,

 

I really hope that someone can help.

 

I work in a number of primary schools and one of them have several digital display screens around the school.

 

What I am looking for is a piece of free software that displays 'dynamically' all photos placed within a designated folder. So if new photos are added to the folder while the slideshow is running, the slideshow 'auto updates' itself to show the new photos. Likewise, if photos are deleted from the folder, these are not shown anymore.

 

The folder will be shared so that designated staff can add/delete photos.

 

Hope this all makes sense.

Thanks timbo343, but that was me on that thread trying to get a copy of the app.

 

Unfortunately, due to how long ago it was, no-one has a copy of it. Not even the original developer :-(

Is the server that shares the "photos" folder also a web server, with directory listing enabled? If so, it's easy enough to write something in Javascript that periodically lists the contents of the folder and loads up a new photo.
