Do you see this role as mainly being a teaching assistant role, helping pupils use given apps in a classroom setting, a technicain role, maintaining the classroom hardware, a software development role, developing applications for use on the hardware, or a mixture of all three?

Hi David,

The role would be a mixture of all three.

Thank you.

The role would be a mixture of all three.

Does the school have a 1:1 iPad program accross the whole school, or a set of iPads per classroom - how much hardware is there to take care of? Is the same hardware used from year 3 all the way up to sixth form? Is pupil / classroom hardware exclusivly Apple, and staying Apple, or is there other hardware now or in the future? Do you have an additional educational needs department, would this role involve working with those children who need learning support / differentiation (either for catch-up or for gifted and talented)? Is learning support generally done by a separate teacher or via in-class support? Do you have in mind a particular software development platform or methodology, or would that be up to the person in the role? Is any app development intended to be exclusivly client-side with iOS tools, or will there be substantial server-side development / administration involved?
