etoipi Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 We have two servers running Windows Server 2003, one the standard version of Server 2003, and the second (our DC) Server 2003 R2 Standard. We're contemplating moving our server infrastructure to 2008 R2 / 2012 over the summer. Do I have to rebuy CALs for whichever server OS I change to, or can I just buy a license for the new server OS and we're done?
3s-gtech Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 You'll need CALs, or a desktop license package which includes them (such as OVS-ES with Windows, Office and CALs).
