Reading for this at the moment, I am getting 90% on the MS test which came with the MS press book, however I have seen on some forums this ms practice test is too easy compared to the real exam. Does anyone have experience of this? Is the MS press exam too basic?

Yes I think it was. Exam questions a lot more specific and wanting more details, some things weren't even covered in the book that I had questions on.

Thanks for the reply, I'm also doing the transcender version, which is apparently too difficult compared to the real test.

I guess if I manage to get about 80% on the transcender I should be good to go.

thats my recollection as well but i did decide to do it read the book and take the exam within about a week lol

as a point wouldnt it make more sense to take a win 8 exam as win 7 exams will be retired sooner making the qualification less useful

I did think about this, but some of the schools I know have only just upgraded to Windows 7, and all the schools are on it. If I were a manager, I would steer clear of Windows 8, firstly because lots of people don't like the interface, and secondly because "Windows 9" is around the corner at the end of this year or early next year. Oh and its also got a few bugs and just does not feel right.

However if I cant crack this Windows 7 exam I may jump over to the Windows 8 equivalent. Anything is better than nothing.
