Feature Request if possible - Expired passwords

Hi Nick,

 

Is it possible to implement the same functionality as OWA and have the ability to change expired passwords? The website below shows how this can be done in exchange but I wasn't sure if this would be possible to implement on any other system.

Hi Matt, thanks for the response, I did notice some development from Nick on the codeplex site with regards to code that checks the UserAccountControl attribute in AD and was hoping it might now be possible to do the same as OWA in HAP+ and allow for changing of expired passwords directly through HAP+. Unfortunately I don't have an Exchange server so would be unable to forward to the OWA page as you are looking to do.

Is this a possibility for HAP+ or is this functionality only available directly with OWA and Exchange 2010 and above?

Would this feature request be possible or is this something only Microsoft Exchange can offer due to the way it integrates with AD?

@Paul-K It's best with exchange, as HAP+ cannot authenticate an expired password, so it doesn't know if the old password is valid
