yes and it makes way for names like Kenzie (in my daughters year group at school, there are 6 "Kenzies" or "MacKenzie" and 2 Chardonnays.

 

I personally favour the timeless names - Grace, Eleanor, Mary, Anne, Bernadette, Jacob, Joshua, Matthew, Paul, John...

Cecil was dying 80 years ago. I found out fairly recently that my Uncle Jim was in fact my Uncle Cyril Cecil James.

 

Even an old man hated it!

My Grandparents and Great-grandparents' names are on the at risk one. The Lizzie one is a bit silly to list, because there's tonnes of Elizabeths that just shorten it. Same with Jennie.

 

The origin of my name's on there, but I doubt Mary will ever disappear.

I love it when we get a list of the new Y7 intake, see if we can find the most outrageous name!

 

Personally I still think there's a place for Gaylord. It always made me snigger when Dick Emery used it in his sketch show, long before Ben Stiller and Meet the Parents.
