L2ICT EES - Office - need perpetual license

A collegue has his EES via Link2ICT. New in post and I assume he wants to grab a copy of Office 2013 and understand how EES works.

 

L2ICT account manager has told him that to use Office on their EES model he needs to have a perpetual license for a previous version?!

 

I assume this has been garbled and they were talking about Windows - which requires an OEM/retail sticker of some sort to upgrade.

 

Or have I completely misunderstood the EES Office licensing model?!!!!!!

License wise, you could also look at A3 on Office 365 which offers Desktop versions of the latest versions of Office.
