Lardboy Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 We have a PRM-AB2-01 ActivBoard and finally, the projector has died. We cannot seem to find a appropriate (or nowhere is saying it) replacement part for it. Has anyone out there in computerland, replaced their projector on their ActivBoard with another projector? If you did, what one did you buy and did it require some "jiggerey pokery" on the mount for it to work. Thanks to anyone out there that can help as my reseller is basically saying buy a new board, which is not happening.
phillyrovers Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Hi LardBoy, In order to provide better assistance please can you tell me your current configuration/ setup? Do you have a ceiling mounted projector? Is the board mounted to the wall or to an adjustable system that moves up and down with a metal handle in the middle? These questions will enable us to determine the best route for an answer. Thank you
Lardboy Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Here is what it looks like. The arm looks like it can move forwards and backwards so that kinda takes out the short throw problem to an extent. Just wondering if anyone had already replaced one and with what projector?
phillyrovers Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Hi Lardboy, I do know that we sell a DLP unit that should fit on that system. (using the existing projector plate.) The part code I think is: AB+2V2-78A-UPG-DST Though you would need to confirm this with your reseller.
Lardboy Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Thank you phillyrovers. I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say
Lardboy Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Just to let anyone know who has been in the same situation as myself with the projector blowing but the board still usable. I went to a company called OrangeIS and spoke to a guy called Scott (01675 433980) and he was able to get a new projector and new mount which worked perfectly for the board. Thanks also to phillyrovers for pointing me in the right direction too
