Calling any Smoothwall Users !

Hi,

 

Yes I know there is a designated Smoothwall support section but wanted to throw this up here so it got a bit more exposure

 

We have a class of students who we give YouTube access to during lessons so they can watch clips to help them with their "coding" in IT. (Not my idea!)

 

I am struggling to work out how to run a Smoothwall report on a user who we suspect of going off task and watching "other" YouTube clips.

 

Does anyone know how to do this, I would have thought it would be easy - but am not finding it so

Normal user report will show all websites in a day.

I just had a chat with a Smoothwall engineer

 

The solution seems to be to use the

 

Logs and reports » Logs » Web filter option

 

Then in the URL field put "youtube.com/watch?v"

 

Hope this helps others.
