Arcath Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 If you try and use the old proxy servers you will just get an error now that says Invalid Serial Number. I assume the subscription ran out yesterday...
ChrisH Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I saw that on one or two that bypass our local proxy and I hadn't reconfigured. They did give plenty of warning though I think they actually said it would go off last Friday.
Arcath Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Yeah they need to kill it proper now so we don't get a response, some services fail harder if they get a HTML page saying Invalid serial instead of a Connection Timeout.

Dunno, you can use the new filter as a proxy server instead of transparent thing if you really want but it would let people get away with not making any changes harming themselves in the long run. Would be better if they pointed it at a static webserver that says "CHANGE YOUR SETTINGS" instead of a Netsweeper error page.
