Mapping Nas Box

We have a Synology Nas drive setup here that we use for large media files.

 

It is mapped over AD with GP and in Windows XP it works fine. Now we are finally moving over to 7 and it doesn't map!

All our normal user drivers are fine, but trying to get the NAS connected is a problem.

 

We have read a number of articles online about problems with W7 and Nas drives losing connection etc and have tried a few registry tweaks but non work.

 

Any ideas??

On Windows 7 PC run Secpol.msc

 

Expand Local Policies

 

Expand Security Policies

 

find & disable the following;

 

Microsoft network client: Digitally sign communications (always).

 

 

Exit from Secpol

 

Reboot machine.

I guess the box is running an older version of Samba. Is there an OS update available for it?
