tli Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I'm not sure how many of you use the Advanced Firstline site (formerly Serco Firstline) with it's CMIS and Progresso knowledgebases and forums, but you can't access it now from a BGfL school- it's blocked by the Link2ICT filtering! Could this be a Capita plot to disrupt the MIS competition?
Domino Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Er, I'd say be careful banding things like that about. It'd be safer to first assume it's a miscategorization - have you requested it be unblocked? 1
Michael Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 It comes back: Reputation: Unverified Get Link2ICT to categorise it and then it'll be accessible. This normally takes 24 hours. If Link2ICT were to deliberately block it (most unlikely), it would be considered anti-competitive, rather than illegal - but I highly doubt this is the case. When a website isn't categorised, it is blocked by default which is correct. It could be hosting anything without verification. 1
tli Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Should I have added "tongue in cheek"! The website has been accessible for a number of years. The problem only seems to have occurred this week.
jamin100 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Yeh I reported this yesterday and it was available again this afternoon
